anxiety hiv
Hi my nmae is Anna, I have anxiety so bad that I thikkyi HIV and all?

turns 26 years old and am thikky Dieng time all I have a tendency to if I see something wrong with me I know I have

It is not necessary to give his name here. The first step is to identify the problem. There is no reason why you think you may have HIV? If so, go see a doctor and get tested. I think there's a good chance that the real problem is the management of anxiety. If this is the problem, you have to try first. Otherwise, the HIV test becomes negative and I just think that is a false negative. Please speak to your doctor about anxiety – after HIV testing.

anxiety care plans

Dealing with acne, a condition that aggravates the skin, can become a daily challenge; a challenge that can lead to feelings of embarrassment, discouragement, and anxiety. However, implementing appropriate and healthy acne skin care as part of a daily routine can help to fight against existing acne and control or minimize any future outbreaks.

Acne is a skin condition that derives from the production of excessive oil leading to blocked pores. The appropriate washing of the skin is one key step in handling acne outbreaks and decreasing the amount of oil held within the skin. Some people mistakenly believe that scouring the skin can help in eliminating acne.

Rather, appropriate skin care depends on washing the skin gently, twice a day, with a mild, doctor recommended cleanser. Careful and thorough rinsing of the skin, after washing, is important to ensure that no cleanser is left on the skin.

A doctor or dermatologist can recommend a topical over-the-counter acne medication or a prescription strength acne medication as part of a healthy skin care regime. Doctors also recommend the ongoing monitoring for moderate or severe acne cases. Combining an effective acne medication with ongoing treatment with a dermatologist can prove successful in controlling acne outbreaks.

For women, choosing appropriate cosmetics is a fundamental part of a healthy acne skin care plan. Many cosmetics contain oil and can lead to clogged pores, which can increase skin irritations and blemishes. When it comes to choosing moisturizers or makeup, all products should be oil-free and noncomedogenic. Noncomedogenic products discourage the closing of the pores and mitigate the build up of oil beneath the skin.

For men, shaving during an acne outbreak can be a daunting task. Washing facial hair with soap and water before applying shaving cream can soften the hair and ease the chances of grazing the irritated skin with the razor. The type of razor chosen depends on the individual, but shaving as a part of a plan should always be done gently and only completed when absolutely necessary.

Hair products can also trigger possible acne outbreaks. The oils in the hair follicles, as well as the products used to cleanse the hair, may only serve to hinder acne skin care. Oil-free products should be chosen to lessen the chances of further outbreaks.

Many people feel that obtaining a suntan can alleviate acne outbreaks. In actuality, the sun will only serve to mask the outbreak temporarily. Many of the prescription acne medication cause the skin to easily burn in the sun. A suntan may lessen the appearance of a blemish but poses a much larger risk to the skin through premature aging and the risk of developing skin cancer. Ultimately, a suntan does little to help skin care.

Living with acne outbreaks can seem frustrating and at times insurmountable, but having an acne skin care plan in place can minimize the anxiety and stress of dealing with an outbreak. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, working with a dermatologist, and sustaining a consistent acne skin care regime can help to manage acne breakouts and minimize future occurrences.

anxiety treatment plans
Hi any one no of any good paper e.g in relation to the treatment of separation anxiety in adults?

All the ref that i have follow a treatment plan in the context of children!! However i am intrested in the treatment of adults!! Many thanks

All shrinks just blame a traumatic childhood incident and charge a fortune for it .

If you want make a living out of it just set up an office with a reclining chair , allow patients to come in and talk for half an hour , then say “I think you probably fell out of your pram when you were 6 months old and it all relates to that , go home and tell yourself I love you in the mirror 3 times a day for a month”
When this doesnt work just just think up another equally stupid suggestion and charge him/her again . quack quack !

anxiety with public speaking
How do you deal with public speaking anxiety?

What are some lessons you’ve learned “the hard way”? How far have you come, how are you still struggling, and how would you recommend others tackle their own fears with public speaking?

I think the only way to truly get over the fear is to do it unfortunately. One thing that really helped me was that I did some training through my workplace. As part of this training they got us to do these embarrassing but funny things, and everyone had to do them so nobody felt any more stupid than anyone else. One of the things was bursting into the room Kramer-style from Seinfeld. But the whole point of it was to take us so far out of our comfort zone in standing up and making a fool of ourselves in front of people, that when it came to standing up and making a presentation it seemed like a piece of cake. That was the real turning point for me. Now I don’t love it, but it doesn’t keep me awake at night if I know I have to present. The other tip is really know your material. If you’re comfortable with what you’re presenting it’s not as scary, because the fear is about being judged. If you know your stuff the fear of people asking questions you can’t answer isn’t so bad.

On behalf of example, as soon as I fell featuring in feel affection for with my niece’s Quaker Parrot and firm to good buy single on behalf of myself, it was the members of a QP forum with the aim of coached me through decisions of come again? social anxiety glasgow

Well this is a report on what was a most successful first meet up group, Freedom from shyness and social anxiety workshop. This was only the first meet up of this kind and aims to take socially anxious and shy people of Scotland from where they are now to be beautiful social butterflies within no time at all. The Glasgow freedom from shyness and social anxiety workshop is open to all people of all ages and all social ability. We aim to do this by talking about the issues that arise for people suffering from social anxiety, at the meetings there are two leading experts in the field of over coming social anxiety and other issues of the mind. Mark Mckenzie is nationally known as Mr Bullyproof, and goes around schools teaching his profound anti bullying message as well as offering assertiveness lessons and individual one on one tutelage. Andrew Milne is founder of Happy-Minds a unique training system that gets people over social anxiety, stress and depression. He has formulated ground braking techniques utilizing his knowledge of Neuro Linguistic Programming, Change work and CBT. You can read more about Andrew and his happy minds at : www.Happy-minds.co.uk, where he also offers one to one sessions on overcoming social anxiety.

The meet up group was the brain child of Vikki (the organizer) Andrew and Mark, who wanted to bring these techniques to a wider audience at a pricing level that is affordable to all people. This is an opportunity for shy and socially anxious people to overcome there problems and issues, learn amazing techniques that they can do simply in there mind and achieve all the social skills that they could ever dream of. The team at the meet up want other socially anxious people to benefit and feel brighter and learn to sizzle in company. Everyone involved feels passionate about the work they are doing.

The meetup group was well attended for a first group, and everyone who attended, seemed to enjoy the group and get more than they expected from it. Speaking to people afterward they really seemed to feel good about the decision they made to come along. The meetup group was held in O’neils in the private room at the back, which turned out to be a lovely warm and welcoming room. Tea and coffee was served to all that attended.

Mark started the group by introducing both himself and Andrew, and they discussed and showed understanding of social anxiety and the problems people suffering with social anxiety have. He explained that to facilitate the changes in people he would be using some language skills, some demonstrations, and some simple exercises to enable people to learn.
Andrew then went on to ask what situations caused the most stress and anxiety, various suggestions came up, some people felt one on one was fine, while group situations were worst.

It was suggested that this group which was friendly relaxed was easy to speak in. Andrew from happy minds (www.happy-minds.co.uk) demonstrated a technique that would rid them of there anxiety in social situations, easily and effortlessly. Despite a few skeptical looks, this was an amazing moment as that horrible knot of anxiety in the pit of there stomach was taken away easily. The difference on peoples faces was amazing and everyone agreed it was a most remarkable achievement. Anxiety generally builds up in the pit of the stomach or the chest area and feels like a heavy weight, or a gnawing type feeling. This was a wonderful demonstration how anxiety can be removed, sometimes in socially anxious people or shy people it is this horrible feeling that stops them from being able to really enjoy company.

Anxiety is complex and need to be tackled in several ways at happy minds we have developed many techniques to clear of anxiety forever, this is the first exercise in several people will learn. Dealing with social anxiety is easy when you have two leading experts and a willing mind.

After this demonstration Mark went on to talk about various social situations, this was to enable people to realize they have choices as to how they react in company. Then both Mark and Andrew talked about body language and the importance of posture in overcoming social anxiety and shyness. the group completed an exercise in which they learn the importance of rapport and paying attention, and how to demonstrate listening skills.

The group was closed with a demonstration on how to change your mood and, there was some questions and answering. everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy the group and i believe everyone left there feeling really good about the group and what it has started to achieve.

So if you have social anxiety or suffer from shyness come along to the next meetup event. Begin your journey to enjoying every and all social situations. You can learn to feel good, be happy and learn to sizzle and zing with excitement.

anxiety social phobia
what is the main difference between social anxiety/phobia and avoidant personality disorder?

just looking for a clear distinction as far as i can tell people suffering from social anxiety or social phobia don’t necessarily avoid social interaction they just experience anxiety in social situations and phyiscal symptoms are prominent while avoidants simply avoid social interaction due to feeling inferior to others and socially inept.. am i somewhat correct here? appreciate the help!

I guess there are a few.

1) Social Phobics don’t necessarily lack self-esteem, but I think that’s kind of a major characteristic of avoidant personality disorder.

2) As you pointed out, personality disorders are often focused on maladaptive behaviours, if i’m not mistaken, whereas mental disorders (like social anxiety) do not – so someone w/ social phobia can feel extreme anxiety in a social situation while maintaining social contact. Someone with APD would avoid the situation all together.

APD may also be more pervasive across all social situations, where SAD may be more likely in new social situations or in situations where they expect judgment, but in more comfortable situations, with people they know, they may feel OK.

How do i cure myself of social anxiety and self criticism?

The cure is just you. You get what you create. Be an individual with freedom, dont associate yours self with the social things… you were born alone and no matter how the people maybe around you, you are the one…. when you see as an observer, you will feel the joys melting down the anxiety and the self will never criticize for who you are and what you made of it. God bless you..
