give the medication a chance to work and if you feel the same maybe you should consider counselling/therapy. ocd doesn’t need to rule your life with help from medication and counselling to teach you some strategies and to work on why you this is happening. just tell your mom how you are feeling – that’s what moms are for. and it could just be anxiety!!~!

Anxiety disorder: Derealization feelings of detachment from reality itself, how can i cope with having this?
Or if your not familiar with derealization, then just a generally speaking, how can i cope with feelings of intense detachent from reality and myself to the point my eyesight actually changing(things seeminly unreal)
I’ve had dissociative disorder for many years and know exactly how you feel. Intense trauma causing an out of body experience usually precedes the ability to dissociate. Even if you don’t remember the episode(s) yet.
Staring, losing focus, over focus, losing time, trancing out, spacing out…all these things go along with dissociative disorder which nearly always is accompanied with derealization and feelings of detachment.
Derealization and detachment are symptoms of dissociative disorder.
Coping keeps these behaviors in place and growing more intense. You are in grave danger of marrying or living with someone that has the same kinds of behaviors/coping skills.
In psychotherapy you can identify triggers and begin to fight back for your sanity. It is amazing how far we can be way from reality and still function.

A useful thing to do is write all your worries and you say something like "I have all on paper so now I know I do forget it and can not leave answer in my mind! Not Nice things calm down and take a hot bath and a good meal. Then do something to divert your attention to this (such as reading, watching movies, shopping, painting nails, walk your dog, call a friend to a movie with them) and laissez-faire.
