On their own, these symptoms are typically not damaging but when mixed together at a frequent rate, they can lead to serious illnesses. Individual patients’ physical anxiety symptoms will be influenced differently, so being conscious of what the physical symptoms are, and how they can cause a body to react, is the key to diagnosing the scale of stress. Doctors generally recommend individuals suffering from 4 or more physical symptoms of anxiety of anxiety or stress should seek a medical opinion.
Physical indications of anxiety or stress can consist of dizzy spells, headaches, chest pain, racing heart, sore eyes, nauseous stomach, panic, weak legs, disturbing thoughts, visible nightmares, tingling sensations, and tremors. When physical symptoms of anxiety and stress produce physical diseases they become a time bomb prepared for combustion. Many people feel uncomfortable or experience some degree of anxiousness when entering a new situation or a crowd of unfamiliar people. Unfortunately, for approximately 10 percent of Americans, anxiety about social situations can be bad enough to be disabling. Experts now think that an even larger group of people may suffer from milder types of anxiety in social situations that can cause significant problems in everyday social interactions.
The term for this type of anxiety is social phobia. It most often happens when a person has fears or worries that often arise from being in a social event. A person who struggles with a social phobia might also struggle with making themselves stop thinking excessively about how others are passing judgment on or evaluating him or her.
For people with social phobia, anxiety can happen in many kinds of situations, such as going to the store, parties, speaking in public, being in front of an audience, or being interviewed. These kinds of socially related anxieties can also be manifested physically; for many people with social anxieties, sweating, blushing, shaking, or stomach problems can happen when coming face to face with these kinds of high-stress situations.
Scientists now think that social phobia consists of problems with self-confidence. Self-confidence is our ability to believe that we are able to make the right decisions, be independent, and take power over our lives. People who lack self-confidence — an all-too common problem in today’s high-stress world — might think excessively about how they are perceived by others, which may eventually lead to not wanting to take part in social activities or of feeling ‘out of control’.
Fortunately, there are some basic actions a person who have problems with self-confidence problems can take to take back this control. One course of action a person with self-confidence problems can take is to make use of an anxiety and phobia workbook. You can consider the anxiety and phobia workbook as a simple method to get insight into the problems you are having trouble with by keeping a journal of triggers and mood-related symptoms; it also contains exercises to do that will aid you to gain more insightful introspection about your self-confidence problems.
When you have gotten to the point at which you have begun to have some insight about your problems with self-confidence, and have decided that it is now time to begin developing self-confidence, then it might make sense to look into a type of therapy that has been shown to be extremely successful in social phobia. Just like the anxiety and phobia workbook, this specific type of therapy is characterized by being focused on helping you become pro-active and gain power over your life. What this means is that you will be curing your own problems.
This type of therapy, called hypnotherapy, works by taking control of the hidden powers of your unconscious mind to aid you to become confident, assured, relaxed, and comfortable with yourself. It may be surprising to know that we all come into this world with these abilities, but because of difficult life events, learned disempowerment, and troubled social interactions, it is often the case that we lose track of our abilities to take control of these powers. Hypnotherapy has been scientifically proven to be useful for people who have self-confidence and anxiety problems.
Many people with self-confidence and other anxiety-related problems often seek out a “quick fix” solution, such as pills, herbal remedies, and short courses of psychotherapy. Although these are strategies that can help some individuals, they don’t really attack the origin of our self-confidence problems – our unconscious mind. In order to deal with self-confidence problems, you must be in control of your own treatment.
If you make the decision to look into hypnosis therapy to aid you to gain self-confidence, you will begin a course of sessions with a hypnotherapist who will encourage you to enter a deep state of calmness. When you are in this place of relaxation, your unconscious mind is wide open and available to be reached by hypnotic suggestion. Your hypnotherapist will then work with you while in this open state by using repeated suggestion to encourage you to realize that you are a capable, strong, and independent person.
Some other options for people who struggle to deal with self-confidence are to participate in hypnosis through videos or audio CDs, which can be watched or listened to in the comfortable space of your own home. Many people also discover that learning self hypnosis, a special relaxation method in which you are encouraged to become open to your innermost desires and needs, with just a small amount of guidance, is very helpful. Whatever type of anxiety hypnotherapy you choose, you can be sure that you are undertaking an important step in creating your own healing and recovery.

Panic attacks are sudden surges of overwhelming fear that that comes without warning and without any obvious reason. It is far more intense than having anxiety or the feeling of being ’stressed out’ that most people experience. One out of every 75 people worldwide will experience a panic attack at one time in their lives.
In any given year, about 1/3 of American adults have at least one panic attack; most of these adults never develop repeated panic attacks. This startling data means that anxiety attacks and panic attacks are the most common emotional disorders and are more common than bipolar disorder, OCD schizophrenia, PTSD, ADHD, phobias, alcohol abuse or depression. Anxiety and panic attacks also has the lowest rates – about 21% – for seeking help and finding it. Sadly these numbers are on the rise every day.
Let me quote an example. Ann was watching television after a typical workday. She suddenly developed a peculiar and very strong feeling of being lightheaded and a smothering sensation as if there were no oxygen in the air she was breathing. Then a surge of pounding rapid heartbeat began. It came on so quickly and was so severe that she became panicked that she might be dying of a heart attack! Then she felt very shaky, sweaty, and unsteady. This whole experience reached peak intensity within 60 seconds. This was the eighth such attack this month.
Panic was hardly the word to describe how terrified she was feeling. It went beyond any feeling of fear that she had ever experienced. Although she had gone to the emergency room several times, nothing seemed to be found by the doctors to explain why she kept having the attacks.
She frantically searched for her car keys so that she could get to the hospital immediately. She thought desperately, “What’s wrong with me?”
It can happen to anyone. But don’t worry. There are many aways that can treat the panic anxiety in house. However there’s one that really works that have receive countless of testimonials. For more information please click here.
Is there a link between Rheumatic fever and panic attacks?
or am i just worrying too much?
Rheumatic fever can leave you open to getting illnesses that are bacterial or viral, but it won’t give you panic attacks. Those always have a mental cause, usually extreme anxiety. Has anything been going on that is a change in your routine or are you really worried about something in particular? If so, you only need someone to talk your problem through with you. If, however, you panic often and at things most people don’t find scary, AND it is affecting your life in a negative way (like not leaving home b/c of fear, constantly fearing being shot and you’re not in a high crime area…) these are signs of a chemical imbalance and that would require medication plus therapy.
Anti Anxiety Meds: Are meds the answer to your anxiety?
Anti anxiety meds are often prescribed by psychiatrists and family practitioners for the purpose of a quick short-term solution for anxiety and panic disorder.
The problem with western culture though, is that many of the drug companies are financially supporting doctors and insurance companies. The doctors know that if they keep prescribing drugs to their patients, then they will get more funding from the drug companies. The highly immoral activity has unfortunately gone on for decades and will continue to go on as long as these drugs provide the quick fix that patients desire so badly.
The most common type of anti anxiety meds are benzodiazepines , anxiolytic-type, selective serotonin re-uptakeee inhibitors (or SSRI’s for short), beta-blockers, serotoninor-epinephrinenre-uptakeakeake inhibitors (or SNRI’s), tricyclicsmono-aminemineine oxidase inhibitors (or MOI’s). The most prescribed are SSRI’s and benzodiazepines.
SSRI’s are meant to be taken for long-term use. They are to be taken regularly every day. They have nasty side-effects, many are sexual in nature. Benzodiazepines are to be taken only when the symptoms of panic and anxiety start to flare up. Their side-effects include a feeling of dizziness and mental confusion…ironically dizziness and confusion are also symptoms of anxiety.
What doctors oftentimes neglect to tell their patients, is that natural cures are always available. The ultimate cure for panic and anxiety is to change the way we think about our condition. The sufferer of panic and anxiety didn’t arrive at their condition by way of drugs, so why would drugs cure it? The sufferer actually arrived at their condition because of negative self-talk that they’ve run in their minds over and over again. They have suffered all the other side effects of anxiety: hypochondria, agoraphobia, commitment phobia, etc… The cure is to find a way to talk themselves out of this negative self-talk.

Can someone give me a list of drugs they use for people or situations that cause anxiety?
It’s Xanax, with an X not a Z! But yes, Xanax, Valium, Ativan, and Klonopin are all excellent anti anxiety meds. They’re addictive though so you can only get them from your doctor for about 3 months. Then if you still need them, you’ll have to see a psychiatrist.
I hope this helped and if you just have mild anxiety, you can get an herb called Valerian root which you can find in any herb store. I hope that you find what you need and I hope that you feel better.
