What are the ways to overcome anxiety and depression?
I have a severe anxiety disorder and lead to depression. My attacks Panic have launched over 6 years. I was awesome for a few years later I had another that began the process, while the recovery again. The attack came a relapse during a trip and now I'm scared to travel. It was there almost 2 years and still not want to travel. I always dreamed around the world. Will I to be normal?
I concentrate on breathing and posture. I slowed down my thoughts in order to remain calm. I wrote four or five deep breaths. Thus try to relax and think of a place that is at peace with myself. Exercise is also helpful because it triggers your endorphins (chemicals that make us happy). You are normal. Panic attacks occur, and do not make you abnormal. It's something to learn to manage, cope and eventually overcome in practice using mechanisms survival. It takes time to become an expert in the use of these tools, however. I noticed the anxiety and depression are often linked. Anxiety often leads to depression when not controlled. To get out of depression (I call it a funk), I play video games, listening to music, exercising, something fun to watch Everybody Loves Raymond. It is important to laugh so they can divert their attention to something positive. More importantly, due to depression and anxiety by negative thoughts or negative thought patterns. By thinking positively, you have the power to overcome something, you can travel anywhere, and you can realize your dreams.
Although often considered a “mental” condition, there are any number of anxiety physical symptoms of anxiety and stress. Not to get too holistic here, but the mind and the body are one unit : what happens in the mind will be voiced thru the body. That isn’t to assert that everybody will face the same symptoms, however – some may suffer 1 or two physical symptoms whilst other s could be experience many more.
On their own, these symptoms are typically not damaging but when mixed together at a frequent rate, they can lead to serious illnesses. Individual patients’ physical anxiety symptoms will be influenced differently, so being conscious of what the physical symptoms are, and how they can cause a body to react, is the key to diagnosing the scale of stress. Doctors generally recommend individuals suffering from 4 or more physical symptoms of anxiety of anxiety or stress should seek a medical opinion.
Physical indications of anxiety or stress can consist of dizzy spells, headaches, chest pain, racing heart, sore eyes, nauseous stomach, panic, weak legs, disturbing thoughts, visible nightmares, tingling sensations, and tremors. If whatever is causing the anxiety is non-permanent then these symptoms will possibly vanish as quickly as they happened. But if any of these physical symptoms are enduring and disruptive, they could be indications of a more heavy problem. That is when chatting with a surgeon is crucial.
When physical symptoms of anxiety and stress produce physical diseases they become a time bomb prepared for combustion. Anxiety feeds on the symptoms, which in turn worsens the sickness, causing more anxiety. This process becomes an endless circle of pain and suffering as the patient’s physical and mental health deteriorates.
If the causes are not addressed and the anxiety is left unbridled, it may ultimately lead to an anxiety disorder. This is a significant medical illness. Anxiety disorders affect approximately 19,000,000 Yankee adults and almost as many youngsters and teens. In truth, stress disorders as a group are considered to be the most common mental sickness in America.
Now a note of caution : because you’re feeling anxious does not mean you’re suffering from a disorder – only a doctor can make that make that diagnosis.
Overwhelming physical anxiety symptoms and fear dominates the life of a patient with an anxiety disorder. These disorders are chronic, relentless, and can grow gradually worse if not treated. They are linked to a number of physical problems, including arthritis, migraines, allergies, thyroid disease, breathing illness, and gut issues. Left unbridled they can also lead to other mental disorders like panic, phobia, obsessive-compulsive, and agoraphobia. Treatment must be administered as quickly as possible to bypass the complete shut down of the immune system.
Physical signs of anxiety and stress are not intended to be concealed : they make themselves known because the body is trying to heal itself, and it wants these things dealt with. Luckily these symptoms are reasonably simple to identify ; they are not as silent as, say, evidence of cancer or coronary disease. They are not not shy and, because of this, they give an individual each chance to hunt them down and treat the underlying causes.
Awareness and education about the physical symptoms of anxiety and stress are vital to patients, doctors, psychiatrists, and the public. No-one is impervious to stress so knowing ways to anxiety and stress so knowing so knowing how to subdue them will benefit virtually everyone.

Anxiety medications are prescribed to anxiety sufferers to relieve anxiety and depression.
Many people have experienced anxiety at some points in their lives. I have and I’m sure most of you have. It keeps us alert and helps us deal with any stressful events that we may encounter. Anxiety can sometimes interfere with our daily life activities, don’t you agree? If we worry, we often can’t concentrate on the things we do, but if we look on the bright side of anxiety, where it can help us handle a situation, I must say that it can be used to our advantage, as well. For example, in an exam, because of fear of not getting the score you aimed, you tend to give your best shot and the result could be higher than you expect. That happens to me, too. And I can tell you, anxiety sometimes can be of big help.
How we all wish anxiety gives us all the best it can do to us rather than the worst. Unfortunately, it’s not the way anxiety works. If anxiety attacks we wish there could be ways to stop it for anxiety really does affect your mood, work, and practically your daily life routine. Otherwise, people suffering from anxiety are usually left immobilized; unable to perform effectively on you regular daily routine.
Anxiety can be treated by medication or by psychotherapy. It is said that psychotherapy can be the most effective treatment for anxiety. How do couples with differnt hiv statues deal with the anxiety of sex?
My girlfriend recently found out she is hiv positive. I have been tested many times and am negative. I want to have sex with her but everytime I do i get real bad anxiety. How do couples deal with the stress and anxiety of having sex if one person is hiv positive?
I would highly recommend that you talk openly with your partner about your fears. Reassure your partner that this is something you want to work through.
I always recommend speaking with a knowledgable therapist if you can afford it.
If she is on meds (which she may not be if she was recently diagnosed) and her viral load is undetectable, the risks as mentioned above) are quite low assuming you are also using protection.
If you are not using protection, then there is nothing guaranteeing your safety, regardless of viral load (as it is not a perfect indicator of infectiousness through genital fluids–semen, vaginal fluids)
You could try looking on line for HIV AND “serodivergent couples” or “serodiscordant couples” or “magnetic couples” all of which refer to couples in which one person is HIV+ and the other HIV-. There are MANY of these types of couples who have been together for years and are very happy. It is possible with love, compassion, and safer sex
There may be some good resources online.
Hope this helps

Is it safe to get pregnant while male partner is on biopolar/anxiety medications?
Has anyone you know or your husband/boyfriend/friend ever gotten pregnant while they were on medication for biopolar/anxiety? Does this affect the child in anyone way or affect being fertile at all? I am not on medication but my partner is just wondering if this will affect me someday having kids, and if its safe or not.
My husband and I were also both on these sort of medications. I don’t think there would be any issues from him taking the medication. There would be more to consider if it were you.
There are different classes of medications. Some are proved to be dangerous to a growing fetus. Some have been proved safe to use during pregnancy like Tylenol. Others have been tested and have not YET been proved to consistently cause birth defects. These are when the mother is taking them though.
Coping with anxiety is something that most people have probably dealt with at some point in their lives. Being nervous and twitchy about something is a natural reaction, particularly in a world of lawsuits, divorce papers, terrorist threats, and Orwellian paranoia. To top those off, there are also concerns about one’s social status and place in the social hierarchy, which can sometimes compound social anxiety on top of regular anxiety. This multitude of factors makes coping with anxiety that much harder in modern society. While most people inevitably learn how to adapt, for others, coping with anxiety and having to deal with social anxiety can become a less than productive activity.
People with subtle mental issues, such as malignant narcissism, are hard to spot, though most experts agree that stressing out an already unstable mind can be a disastrous activity. Social anxiety is already seen as a common denominator among the psychological profiles of modern serial killers, with some people in the field believing it to be one of the root causes of the deviant behavior exhibited by such individuals. Others similarly theorize that the behavior of a serial killer is a way of coping with anxiety, albeit one that is affected by other psychological conditions.
Interestingly, people coping with anxiety and social anxiety do so in different ways, particularly in different cultures. For example, some Japanese people, buckling under the pressures of Japanese society and social duties, have found an unusual way of coping with anxiety. While the hikikomori tactic, which involves withdrawing from all social activity and interpersonal interaction for extended periods, is more accurately seen as running away from social anxiety, it is nonetheless their means of coping with the societal pressures in their lives.
Other Japanese people, generally males, have become drawn into otaku behavior as a means of dealing with social anxiety. In Japanese culture, an otaku is an obsessive fan of a particular show or series that ends up collecting each and every piece of merchandise of that specific obsession. While not as completely cut off from the rest of society as a hikikomori, an otaku is nonetheless a person that has little in the field of social skills, or at least perceives himself to lack such skills. To a degree, the otaku is using his obsession to substitute for human social interaction, though it also promotes meeting with similar individuals to locate potential buyers when the otaku eventually sells his collection in favor of starting a new one.
In Western culture, particularly in the US, social anxiety is seen as a weakness and something that is “not entirely normal.” Society has a tendency to push people that are socially withdrawn into the social arena, without any regard for their psychological capacity to adapt to such circumstances. In rare cases, when in conjunction with other mental disorders, these people can lash out at society, generally by openly rebelling against the social norm of their particular community. An example of this would be the “Goth” culture that crops up in some schools, which stand in direct defiance of the homogeneous social policies of most high school student bodies.
However, it is the ones that strike back covertly that one should be wary of. These people may not necessarily turn into serial killers along the lines of Dennis Rader, the infamous BTK strangler or Ted Bundy, they can potentially turn into another Dylan Klebold or Seng Hui Cho. The difficulty here lies in the fact that people tend to ignore the signs of this sort of backlash until the guns have already started blazing.
Pregnancy is a time of happiness and anxiety for both the mother and father. Family, friends and relatives all gather around to congratulate the couple. It is often hard to tell about a new pregnancy. The pregnant woman may get mixed signals about the symptoms of her pregnancy especially if it is her first time. There are many questions wondering her mind throughout the entire pregnancy time and couples often have aroused tensions due to unawareness of certain facts and figures associated with the pregnancy.
If you are a couple and are expecting a baby, the first signs of the pregnancy start as early as one to two days after conception. As soon as the mother conceives the baby, the symptoms start to appear. Symptoms like fatigue, headache and nausea are common examples of experiences as felt by the mother. However, these are very common feelings and experiences and usually can be caused by other illnesses as well. There is really one way to be sure and that is a home pregnancy test. However, a home pregnancy test can often show negative until unless one week has passed after a missed period. In some cases though, a missed period cannot truly represent a pregnancy especially if your periods are irregular or you are unaware of the exact date of your periods.
Vaginal bleeding for 10 – 11 days after conception is also not very uncommon among many women. A change in behaviour and a dislike for certain previously liked aromas is also not uncommon. Another important symptom might be a sudden incline in the body temperature for as long as 18 days after the conception. The cause of such temperature increase is still unknown but that is usually accompanied by headaches, crams and vomiting. This is usually attributed by many with the hormonal changes going on inside the body however true cause is still unknown. You should use a home pregnancy test at least one week after the date of missed period and if the result is positive, you are surely pregnant.
When a mother conceives a baby, it is also linked to soaring and swelling of nipples which result in pre-period like feeling. A mother usually feels exhausted and dizziness throughout the day without any particular reason. Tightening of clothes around the waistline is another sign of conception and pregnancy. The rapid discharge of progesterone hormone results in body temperature increase and a heightened appetite as well. During the pregnancy, a mother may field a rapid change in behaviour and likeliness for certain things. Fr example at one time she might feel like eating ice cream and at another point she might hate it. This is all due to the hormonal changes accompanied by body changing.
A pregnant woman might also experience lack of attention and anxiety. Certain exercises and medication can help cure any such signs. A complication in pregnancy can also be caused by any untreated symptoms. In the case of a normal r complicated pregnancy, it is best to consult a qualified obstetrician in the UK. A qualified doctor can provide consultancy, prescribe pregnancy medication and suggest solutions to your problems. Panic attacks are sudden surges of overwhelming fear that that comes without warning and without any obvious reason. It is far more intense than having anxiety or the feeling of being ’stressed out’ that most people experience. One out of every 75 people worldwide will experience a panic attack at one time in their lives.
In any given year, about 1/3 of American adults have at least one panic attack; most of these adults never develop repeated panic attacks. This startling data means that anxiety attacks and panic attacks are the most common emotional disorders and are more common than bipolar disorder, OCD schizophrenia, PTSD, ADHD, phobias, alcohol abuse or depression. Anxiety and panic attacks also has the lowest rates – about 21% – for seeking help and finding it. Sadly these numbers are on the rise every day.
Let me quote an example. Ann was watching television after a typical workday. She suddenly developed a peculiar and very strong feeling of being lightheaded and a smothering sensation as if there were no oxygen in the air she was breathing. Then a surge of pounding rapid heartbeat began. It came on so quickly and was so severe that she became panicked that she might be dying of a heart attack! Then she felt very shaky, sweaty, and unsteady. This whole experience reached peak intensity within 60 seconds. This was the eighth such attack this month.
Panic was hardly the word to describe how terrified she was feeling. It went beyond any feeling of fear that she had ever experienced. Although she had gone to the emergency room several times, nothing seemed to be found by the doctors to explain why she kept having the attacks.
She frantically searched for her car keys so that she could get to the hospital immediately. She thought desperately, “What’s wrong with me?”
It can happen to anyone. But don’t worry. There are many aways that can treat the panic anxiety in house. However there’s one that really works that have receive countless of testimonials. For more information please click here.
