intermittent fmla to full paid leave for stress headaches and anxiety?
I have intermitent fmla for migraines, stress and anxiety and work in a call center as a techical support representative. When i leave work early or call out i have burned my sick and vacation time and am loosing a lot of money because my companies moto is 100 hundred percent production for 7 hours straight with less than 5 seconds between call and less that 10 sec of silence allowed during calls while having to trouble shot a customer computer and or telephone issue.
what is my options? Can I get off on disability? this place is making me crazy and management treat employees like trash.
Sounds like you need to find another job. No you won’t get social security disability because you have to prove medically that you can do NO work for at least the last 12 months. Also, for FMLA, you have to be under a doctor’s care (it’s MEDICAL leave)

“If an employee who provides notice of the need to take FMLA leave on an intermittent basis for planned medical treatment neglects to consult with the employer to make a reasonable attempt to arrange the schedule of treatments so as not to unduly disrupt the employer’s operations, the employer may initiate discussions with the employee and require the employee to attempt to make such arrangements, subject to the approval of the health care provider.”
“In the case of intermittent leave or leave on a reduced leave
schedule which is medically necessary, an employee shall advise the employer, upon request, of the reasons why the intermittent/reduced leave schedule is necessary and of the schedule for treatment, if applicable. The employee and employer shall attempt to work out a schedule which meets the employee’s needs without unduly disrupting the employer’s operations, subject to the approval of the health care provider.”
